roots of a complex number

Find the two square roots of −2 + 2i, I have started 8^1/4 (cos(3pi/8) +i sin(3pi/8)), but the solutions aren`t what I expected ( adding 2 pi to the arguments?? Instead the second solution even makes 8^1/4 negative??
