Hi,
I have a task of using the 'domain convention' to work out the domain of sum functions.

For example, using the domain convention, work out the domain of the following functions.

(i) 1/x²(x-3)(x+4)³
(ii) (x²-25)^½

the list goes on...i just need to know how to do it, so i can continue with my long list, thanks.

If a function is given by a formula and the domain is not specified, the convention is that the domain is the set of all real numbers for which the formula defines a real number.

i) All the real numbers, except 0, 3, -4.
ii) All the real numbers except those between -5 and +5
