I am doing sociology A-Level independently (I've had a teacher in my 1st year but not anymore) and I'm trying to decide what topic should I pick. I briefly went through all of them and I'd say Stratification and Differentiation sounds quite good to me. However, Beliefs in Society seems to be the shortest one and it's interesting too. Whoever does/teaches sociology, please let me know which unit do you think is the best to pick.
And I've heard that Beliefs in Society is the most popular one to pick, which makes me think the exam might be harder than for other topics.

i do aqa a level sociology in year 13 and to my understanding you have to do :
crime and deviance with methods in context (paper 3)
education with methods in context (paper 1)
theory and methods (paper 1)
families and households (paper 2)
beliefs in society(paper 2)
research methods (paper 3)

I've done Families and Households in my A1 but Beliefs in Society is one of the optional topics in A2 and I'm debating whether I should do that one or Stratification and Differentiation 😄 how did you find Beliefs in Society?

Definitely do Beliefs in Society. Even though it can get quite hard at times, it is very interesting.

beliefs in society is an interesting topic however, it gets extremely boring when discussing new age movements and sects etc. good luck!
