Strippers! - Guys/Girls Watch

I'm in a relationship LDR, and my mates and me have planned a night out to a strip joint. Now it would appear many girls in a relationship would not allow their other half to see strippers.

I've reassured my gf, I'm not going to pay for dances or 'extras' Yet she's still not keen on my going. I've told her she'd have to trust me, or no point in us going on. She's begrudgingly approved. (I would have gone regardless)Personally I'd have no problem with her seeing male strippers, just as long as they are not thrusting their knobs in her face (As I've heard they do) she should be seated FAR away as possble, and should not 'over' enjoy the experience. (As some women go OTT, and assualt the stripper, as they are that mental  )

Would you allow your bf to go? and guys, would you defy, or not?

I would let my boyfriend go. I trust him.
He can pay for extras if he wants, I know it's just a bit of fun and he'll always come back to me.

If she didn't want me to go, I wouldn't go, but then I'm not really excited by the idea of going to a strip club.

You mention you're in an LDR, well, I think that could have some significance...maybe. I assume she trusts you, but I can imagine that to her, the fact that you can't see her naked and intimately, yet could would be looking at other girls, could upset her. Didn't she give a reason why?

i dont think the reason that your girlfriends uncomfortable with it is the fact that she doesnt trust you not to do anything, its the fact that you want to go and watch OTHER women dancing around naked essentially which is enough to put any girl into a state of unease. you've got her to live out your fantasies and what not so why you'd need to go and watch other women is beyond me. but hey thats my point of view
i know i wouldnt like my boyfriend going to a strip place

The first mistake was telling your girlfriend. The second one was saying you'd allow your GF to go to a male strip show. You need to show her you're the boss. She a woman afterall.

In that case, she can be happy about you going, but as long as they dont shove their boobs/crotches in your face (which they probably will), you should be seated as FAR away as possible, and you're not allowed to 'over' enjoy it.

I see her point really, sounds like double standards, especially seeing as you were going to go behind her back if she didn't want you to go.

Err, if my boyfriend (regardless of it being long distance) even hinted to me that he was planning on going to a strip joint I'd be having second thoughts about the relationship as a whole.

Aside from the fact that you're in a relationship, people who go to strip clubs are fuelling the sex industry and treating women like worthless pieces of meat. This is why I would be breaking up with the guy I was with if he were to do this. Women aren't purely for mens satisfaction. We have brains, we are people, we have emotions, and the women that are so unfortunately involved in this industry often do not see their own selfworth, and do so because they see it as a fast way to make money - and in a large amount of cases - to fuel their own drug addiction.

Please don't make the industry worse by buying into it. It needs to be squashed. The women it employs need to be helped out of it. Not encouraged.

I want to write so much more because it truly makes me so mad that people can treat other people in this way. But, I have to go and study and make something of myself and prove to some men that women are not solely on this earth for their own self-gratification.

Why should I not tell her? She tells me everything she does. I'm going, as I said.

Honestly? I guess I would be a little uncomfortable with it, but at the end of the day, he is a guy, and has hormones just like everyone else - and they are not just tuned in to me.

I know that he's crazy about me, and wouldn't ask for extras or anything like that. I have just got to trust him, and know that when it's done, I'll be the one that gets his blood racing :p: (or words to that effect - my brain has decided to turn to mush lol).

Besides, I have every intention of taking one of my more innocent friends to a strip club soon (it's one of those special girl's day out rituals lol), and would expect my bf to be mature about it.

you are a ****ing idiot. they're strippers, not crack-addicted prostitutes. they're on the whole jolly well paid, fully consenting, and the strip club will be well-manned with big burly bouncers ensuring the girls don't get any abuse. you REALLY need to get over yourself.

yes, i'd allow my boyfriend to go. although 'allow' implies you are entitled to control what your other half does which in a stable relationship should absolutely not be the case. IMO you can express what you think of strippers but you shouldnt try to influence or control your other half.. let them make their own decisions. if you cant allow that then you are in no way capable of having a responsible adult relationship. u should be able to trust your other half. my bf is off to a stag do tonight which will no doubt include the standard trip to a strip club. doesnt bother me. most strippers are absolute dogs judging by some ive seen that work at spearmint rhinos near me so really i wouldnt worry, plus theres no harm in looking. its like would you ban your other half from watching porn. and if u expect your gf to allow u to go to a strip club theres no way you should expect to put conditions on her seeing a stripper. not that i know many girls who are into strippers

Where does it say that in my original post?

I said, I'd have gone even if she didn't agree to it, not behind her back,or why would I have told her in the first place! - I have nothing to hide or fear.
