I had a look and it looks like its 45/60 for an A, and 21/25 for A in the coursework...
I can't make sense of it either. The three components (Paper 1 (codes 11, 12, 13 or 14), Paper 2 (02) and Coursework (03) add up to 175 - not the 200 the boundaries are given out of! And the individual component boundaries don't give A*. Very strange.
What do they mean?
Well I do OCR modern world history and our teacher usually gives us the impression that an A is just over 70% and a A* just over 80%. Though the coursework has higher boundaries.

Of course, because you have the option to study different depth studies (e.g. we do USA 1919-1940, others do Nazi Germany), naturally the different versions of the test papers will be slightly easier/harder, so the boundaries for each paper 1 will vary.

I agree with AnythingButChardonnay, its wierd they dont have the A* boundaires on the spec.

Anyway, just aim to get everything right in the exam and then they can work out your mark!
Coursework = /50.. What is the grade boundary for an A*?
We dont know as they dont actually give the boundaries out as all they (OCR) need are the raw scores to calculate our final grade.

I would expect it would e just above 80% so around 42,43 mabye
