I have applied to study maths at Downing college.

At GCSE I have 6A*s 2As 2Bs 1D (in short course religion).

At AS level I have 4 As - maths, further maths, physics and chemistry.

I have been predicted 4A*s.

I come from a grammar school in Northern Ireland that doesn’t get a lot of people into Oxbridge. Not one for years.

I truly love maths and I hope this came across in my Personal statement.

My UMS scores in maths are:
C1 88
C2 93
M1 91
M2 92
S1 100
FP1 97

Thanks for your time.

Why not? 4A* predictions are not very common. Besides your grades, your references and personal statement play an important role. Don’t worry!

I’m doing further maths AS and I’m bricking myself because I know I’m at a disadvantage but you can’t do 4 subjects in my sixth form unless you got all 9s
