Hi Finn!

Sport Coaching is a Froebel course, so although you can live at any college, you may find that your course mates will choose to live in Froebel accommodation. You can find all of our accommodation here - scroll to the bottom of the page and select Froebel.

Accommodation will open for all students at the same time, regardless of whether they have deferred or not.

Let us know if you have any more questions, and we will do our best to help!

Hi there!

Anthropology is part of the Life Sciences Department, which is based in Whitelands. This college is a ten minute walk away from our main campus, so you may want to choose accommodation on Whitelands, although you are able to choose any college/accommodation that you like.

Hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions you may have!

Morning Finn,

Elm Grove is our newest accommodation, and is only in its third year of being open. Every flat has 4-11 rooms, each with a small double bed, en-suite and wifi. The communal kitchens and lounge areas are modern and high-spec, and the building is located seconds away from our award-winning library.

Elm Grove is part of Digby Stuart, which is different to Froebel, the college of your course. Students are welcome to live on a different college from their course if they like, so it's up to you!

Not getting guidance through eMail and Chat service provided by Roe.

A current Roe student encouraged me to stary my degree with Roe and I was trying to get info but no one is responding proper.

I contacted through chat yesterday and I was told to contact Birmingham campus and I was given an email id and I did send an email but the lady even didnt read my email and sent me the same prospectus/brochure which I can see online on web. Whats the point wasting time in replying without reading the query!

So today I contacted again through chat, and another lady ignored my messages and didnt bother to read and keep asking what course I want which I replied twice and then she told me she is busy....why you are available for chat if you are busy!

I am not cynical...but why your staff is treating a prospective student this way....doesnt feel welcoming!

Well I am pasting my questions one last here again and lets see!

(Please answer all with numbers in your answers)1. What is the difference between BSc Computer Science and BSc Computing Technologies?2. Does this program include Software Engineering or is it about Web Development side only?3. Does this degree include C, C++, Java? What System programming languages will I learn?4. Will I study Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning in this degree?5. Placement Year option?6. Who will issue Degree certificate?

Hi chikimiki,

We're so sorry to hear about your experience. You have done the right thing in posting your questions here, and we have your answers!

1. QA only offers BSc Computing Technologies
2. Web development only
3. It does not include C, C++ or Java, but does include SQL.
4. No
5. There is an extended degree option instead of a placement year option
6. University of Roehampton

Please feel free to ask any more questions on here, or if you'd prefer, you can call the QA team (our partners who deliver this course) directly +44 (0)20 8108 2499.

Thanks for your reply.

You missed to answer Q1.Please guide me about what is the difference between BSc Computer Science and BSc Computing Technologies?

And can I enroll and start this degree in January 2019?

I am getting contradicting info as I received a prospectus and it says I can work as a software developer but you replied this degree doesnt have software engineering/development.

Someone from Birmingham office yesterday sent me a prospectus and I am copying and pasting here the exact lines.

How can I work as a software developer if you are not teaching software development/engineering in this degree? Please check the following lines from your prospectus;

Graduates from this programme will be well placed to pursue careers in a number of computing related areas including software development, cyber security, web and mobile app design and data analytics. The degree also provides a platform for Masters-level study in a range of fields including software development, data science, cyber security, web and mobile development and project management.

Copy and paste from your prospectus!

Hi Stylishsoph12,

Media, Culture and Language courses are part of Southlands College, but some classes are held on Digby Stuart too. These colleges are right next to each other on our campus, and so it will take you a maximum of five minutes to walk from one side to the other.

Feel free to ask any other questions you may have

Hello,

My name is Agnius and I've been offered a place at Roehampton to study Journalism and I'm sure that this university is the best option for me. Thus, I'm interested in which college I'm going to be sorted to once I started my bachelor studies.

Thank you.

Hi Agnius,

Congratulations for your offer to study at Roehampton! Journalism is part of the Media, Culture and Language Department, which is part of Southlands College.

If you choose to live on campus, your college will be the one you live on. You can request for this to be Southlands or any other college. If you choose to live off campus, you will automatically be assigned to Southlands.

Let us know if there is anything else we can answer for you
