Advanced higher chemistry project

I think I have decided to investigate the transport of copper ions through a membrane. The sheet the teacher gave us gave me the example, “Transport of copper ions through a membrane: to investigate the movement of copper ions through a membrane using colorimetry and redox titrations. To determine the effect of anions(negative ions) on the passage of the copper ions.” I need some help. I don’t know how to investigate this so was wondering if anyone could help.
