I've already had my first installment of student loan, and have just sent off my application for DSA as I have a very bad long term illness that is uncureable. I was just wondering, if I'm accepted, will I be backpaid from what I've missed from the first installement?

Thanks

You don't get given money explicitly, you get items, non-medical helpers and reimbursed with money if your disability causes you to spend more than an average non-disabled student would (but this all depends on what your assessor thinks wouls be appropriate for you). If you need help with money due to disability then you're better off applying for PIP.
