Dropping out & reapplying

Hi, I'm not in the process of doing this but just inquiring:

Say I am studying X and I start to thoroughly dislike it. Can I drop out at the end of the term and reapply at the same uni for a different course the following year? I know SF give a 'gift' year but with this: would there be an extra pressure to like course Y and not fail any modules/exams?

Hi,

We do give every student one year of additional support in case they have to repeat a year or wish to change course. If you were to switch courses, you would be using your additional year of funding. If you were to then have to repeat a year later on in the course, you would have to self fund the tuition fees yourself.

Thanks, Duncan.
