As a very regular cinema goer, im always astonished by the fact that so many people sit in the back couple of rows likely needing binoculars  Is the cinema experience not about the big screen filling up your FOV?

Where do you prefer to sit in the cinema and preferably... why?

Always in the middle on whatever side has the railings so there’s more leg room and you can put your feet on the railing.

Anywhere other than the back third gives you neck ache.

Middle or back, but making sure I'm centered is my priority. I'd rather sit at the very back in the middle of the row than in the middle off to the side.

Middle row, usually to the left. If not available, I'd almost certainly go back a few rows rather than too far forward. I don't know why, it just feels right. :iiam:

This.

Second or third row from back is my preference.

Middle, slightly towards the back but not too much. I rarely go though, last time was in July and that was the first time in 3+ years.

My favourite cinema in my area is the Everyman and they have sofas and armchairs so I find myself not caring where I sit, but middle to front is best

In the middle, at the back. It's too hard to find the optimum row if you go for anything else- always going for the same one takes away the stress of making a decision. Also, I prefer to see the people who the people are rustling their sweets.

Edit: I guess results vary based on cinema size.
