I would really appreciate it if people who have been through the medical application process answer my question. It is: If you are given a conditional offer to study medicine with AAB, are you expected to get the 2 A's in science subjects bearing in mind im doing Biology, Chemistry and History at A-Level, so thats 2 science and 1 non-science subject which apparently is seen as quite important????? Thanks for all applies!!
it varies from med. school to med. school, so check & see if the prospectus mentions this - or you could ask anecdotally on the various message boards.
in my case, none of my medicine offers were 'tagged' (where they specify certain grades in certain subjects) & my grades could be achieved in any of my 4 subjects, including History & English Lit but excluding GS: AAB (Bristol) ABBD (Imperial) & AAA (Oxford).
however, i had a friend who received a tagged Cardiff offer.. ABB with at least AB in Bio/Chem i.e. one science subject had to be at A. & her BSMS offer was something complicated with tariff points from science subjects etc..
hope this helps - i doubt they would be mean enough to specify 2As in science subjects, but offers are really at the discretion of ATs..
It means they put 'conditions' on their offer. So that when you log on to the UCAS tracker it will say Conditional Offer and the details will say what the very specific conditions are that you MUST satisfy before they will accept you.
most university which offer medicine just want an A in chemistry. They prefer an A in biology as well but if you get a B it's alright, as long as you get AAB minimum.

Nottingham were (don't know if they still are) notorious for tagging their offers at AAB with As in chem and bio. One of my friends got 480 in his A-Level Chem
I suppose technically my Cambridge offer was tagged too, in that it specified my AAA should not include German.
Other universities will be less stringent on it though.
Sorry? The thread ia about tagged offers - i.e ABB, but the A has to be in Chem and that sort of thing. Your post just seems like some kind of random brag!
