(My question is: To what extent was the Emancipation of the Serfs in 1861 the key turning point in the social development of Russia between 1801 and 1906?)

So my deadline for my 'for' argument is in 2 weeks and I'm struggling with what my 'for' argument actually is: Is it
1) the argument in relation to the question (i.e. the emancipation WAS the key turning point)
2) the opinion I believe in (i.e. it wasn't; so I'd still talk about the emancipation but negatively)
3) the opinion I believe (i.e. that the 1905 revolution was the key turning point)

Any thoughts??
