Im really stuck on AB biology unit 2 human health and disease and unit 3 transport becuase they are just soo big in content.!
so id just like to ask if anyone has any concise, clear revision notes that they have found/ made and can kindly post it up!
or if there are any websites specific to OCR biology...im really lost in this subject please help! All the ones i can find are edexcel or AQA specific..
REP will be given for best contribution
These only go up to lung diseases but I think they're alright. I've been working on notes like this for a few weeks now - I've got Chemistry unit 4 in it's entirety and i'm trying to do the same for all my notes. if you print these out 2 sided (try using a school computer and fiddling with the print settings) they can be really concise. If these help tell me and I'll try and put up the rest of HHD notes by the end of today. Fraid I can't do transport as I scored too highly to retake last year, I underestimated the difficulty of HHD in relation to the other Units.
Nah, did you read my post? Not retaking, i got almost top marks. sorry. It's best to make your own notes for transport anyway, as it's a tough unit and some bits are harder to grasp.
out of the three AS modules what would ppl say is the hardest, in my opinions it foundation, i'm retakin it this summer
No you would do it in order, So first you do Foundation, then Humand Health and Disease, and lastly Transport
also the source to sink thing, because it doesn't make sense.
At the source you have active loading of sucrose into sieve elements, this leads to decreased water potential. Water follows the the sucrose by osmosis. At the sink, the sucrose is removed and followed by water again. The difference in hydrostatic pressure causes the sucrose to go from source to sink.
I hope ive explained that okay.. x
Sorry that i can't help.. good luck
do you know if when i retake unit 3 will i have to re do the coursework? its becuase my stupid stupid teacher gave me 18/30 which is just a C and I was aiming for an A, if i want to get an A in unit 3, that means ill have to get full marks in my transport lol which is impossible
