These only go up to lung diseases but I think they're alright. I've been working on notes like this for a few weeks now - I've got Chemistry unit 4 in it's entirety and i'm trying to do the same for all my notes. if you print these out 2 sided (try using a school computer and fiddling with the print settings) they can be really concise. If these help tell me and I'll try and put up the rest of HHD notes by the end of today. Fraid I can't do transport as I scored too highly to retake last year, I underestimated the difficulty of HHD in relation to the other Units.

Nah, did you read my post? Not retaking, i got almost top marks. sorry. It's best to make your own notes for transport anyway, as it's a tough unit and some bits are harder to grasp.

Source to sink is the fact that translocation can go in two directions, so instead of saying it goes from roots to leaves or vice versa you say it goes from the source to the sink.
At the source you have active loading of sucrose into sieve elements, this leads to decreased water potential. Water follows the the sucrose by osmosis. At the sink, the sucrose is removed and followed by water again. The difference in hydrostatic pressure causes the sucrose to go from source to sink.
I hope ive explained that okay.. x

The loading and unloading bit is a fair bit more complicated and i dont rlly understand it well enough to explain. The textbook notes on it are pgs 142/3.
Sorry that i can't help.. good luck
