I'm going to study mechanical engineering too, how much of the work would you say is written, computer based, and practical? If you had to estimate, what would you say the breakdown is? Is there lots of pure maths or is it mostly maths with mechanical applications /fluid Dynamics related stuff? I prefer the more physics/mechanics part of it, I'm fine at pure maths but I just enjoy it a lot less, because I like to know how I can apply it, I even enjoyed statistics because it had useful applications.
