im need help im really sad

i want to be popular and stuff . Im not allowed to wear makeup or even wear shorts as my parents think its a wastage of money . Im new to school and and all the other ppl who r new already knew someone from school before so all the guys obviosuly followed them on insta and stuff but some guys dont even follow me back and follow the other new ppl in sixth form , i used to be so popular but now im nothing , i hate myself .
