Will the price of oil drop like a stone when people find out that it is abundant?

The idea that oil is made out of fossils was made up by the Rockefellers in order to make it sound rare. Oil consists of Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen but that does not make it a 'fossil fuel'.

You are quite right. All you need to do is pop to spar, buy charcoal, leave it out in the air (which has oxygen and hydrogen in it) and after 2 days it becomes crude oil. All this expensive oil exploration rubbish is an elaborate conspiracy.

Sadly it actually faces a lot of competition on that front. Oil isn't abiotic though OP, it is a finite resource
We can answer the question sort of in the words of that oil sheikh a few decades ago who pointed out that just as the stone age didn't end for lack of stones, so the oil end won't end because we've run out of oil. Nor will it end because it becomes dirt cheap (that was really the glory days before 1973). Rather, we're moving into superior energy technology that won't involve geopolitical tensions let alone the whole global warming concern. However, hydrocarbons will need to continue to be used for both aviation and transoceanic shipping; but again, I don't see why they can't be synthesised from H2O and atmospheric CO2 instead of pumped out of the ground.
