Energy Transfer Pushing an Obiect - MISCONCEPTION !!!

When you push an object, what are the energy transfers ?
Is energy being converted from chemical energy of your arm into kinetic energy to the object ? Or is kinetic energy just being converted into kinetic energy ?
What is an example of chemical energy ——> kinetic energy ?
Thanks.

An example of chemical energy to kinetic energy... A bomb going off? Chemical energy refers to the potential energy in the chemical bonds within a molecule. I think an arm is a bit too unspecific.
You're doing work to push the object to overcome resistive forces, I would say it's kinetic energy into kinetic energy, although the kinetic energy comes from the muscle cells contracting which is achieved through chemical energy...

With electromagnetic energy stores, what does the electromagnetic energy convert into when the power supply is switched off ?
Thanks, Lewis.

Yeah, you're transferring chemical energy from stores of sugar in your arm into kinetic energy both of the object you're moving and possibly of the surface you're pushing it along (which will be warmed up by friction).
