If you're a basement dweller that spends all their life playing COD or FIFA, then yeah.

guy who enjoys a game - fine with most girls
'gamer' or guy who identifies as a 'gamer' - turn off for most girls, not all though, plenty of girl gamers out there.

It's not a problem as long as it isn't the only thing you have going on in your life. It's not the gaming that turns people off, it's the things that can come with an obsessive gamer. Don't be a basement dweller and you'll be fine.

Ask yourself 'is it the sort of thing that blacks normally do?'. If not then you wont be getting any clunge. Blacks are mostly chads after all.
Most American ghetto blacks are chads and only some British black Roadmen but 95% of British blacks look, sound and are gay.

Personally for me it depends on the guy. I enjoy playing games too but not like all the time, so it's nice to have something in common but I don't just want to sit inside and play Overwatch for 10 hours.

99% of guys play games at some point but it will be a turn off when it affects over aspects of your life

Depends. If you live up to the stereotype of socially awkward, boring, inactive and poor hygiene you will rightly struggle.

As long as it doesn't make up a huge part of your personality

I met my ex-fiancee when I killed her with a toilet seat in Half-Life 2 DM. We used to raid servers together and made people to rage-quit. Sadly, decent gaming females way more rare than the common variety of braindead and boring bar-hoes ...

There was no need to be offensive and generalising towards women to make your point.
There are gaming females, not too many, that’s true. But maybe you’re just looking in the wrong places if all you find is ‘brain dead and boring bar-hoes.’

If you have enough money even clubbing baby seals to death would look cute
