Hey,

I'm doing a essay on;

WHAT DID TALCOTT PARSONS AIM TO ACHIEVE THROUGH HIS SOCIOLOGICAL THEORY? HOW SHOULD WE JUDGE THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF HIS APPROACH

I'm so confused as to what it means and what to include

So I think it would be really useful to do some reading on his sociological theories and how he added to Durkheim's basis of functionalism, also mention the 1956 Family, Socialisation and the Interaction Process theory he published. There is some great explanations of this on the revisesociology websites and there are a lot of resources on his work and effects of it too in addition to the criticisms of them! Hope this helped a wee bit, sorry in a similar predicament myself, doing work on Parsons!
Have a good day and take care!
