TSR'S REVISION HELP and FLASHCARDS

As all of you know TSR provides revision resources but I don't know what to do with it other than read it. E.g. I have found a geography flashcard for me (from TSR) but I don't know how to revise from it. I don't want to print it out otherwise that will take too much ink.

This leads to my second point- flashcards.
I have learnt (the hard way) that there are 2 main types of flashcard: Q&A and Revision Flashcards (where you put key information on a card). Everyone in my year are doing loads of flashcards/ mindmaps/ etc. and I'm becoming increasingly worried. I don't know whether to use my CGP Textbook, some websites or my textbook to make these revision flashcards.
In terms of revision for biology, I'm in Year 10 so I don't know whether to start past papers.
