I’ve accidentally reversed into someone’s front bumper but no damage whatsoever?

I did something stupid while parallel parking my car, while I was trying to straighten up my car I accidentally lost control of the clutch and slamed into the car behind me at 2/3mph. However, though, what shocked me that there no damage on none of the cars not even a minor scratch, do bumpers absorb the impact at low speeds to prevent damage? P.s I left my insurance details just to back myself up.

You still need to inform whoever's car you hit, which is good that you did do so.

Bumpers usually absorb some light impacts, that's why they're made out of plastic rather than metal.

It’s called a bumper for a reason  should be fine if there’s literally no damage

I’m sure it’ll be fine if there was no damage, but well done for leaving details. Did you also take pictures? Just in case the other car driver decides to say something.
