So I've had my UCAS application ready to send off since the end of September except for one field... choices.

I have kind of changed my mind from doing biological sciences in general to studying Genetics but I have no idea which universities are good for it and neither do my careers teachers. I also don't like using rankings for genetics as its part of biological sciences and most universities don't offer it at undergraduate.

My questions are:
1) Is it worth it to do a BSc in Genetics or should I do Biological Sciences and do a Genetics masters?
2) Which universities offer the best Genetics courses either undergrad or postgraduate?

Thanks a lot.

Most biological courses included genetics, biochemistry etc starts with same/similar courses. I think all of them just same but you can specialise more in some areas like genetics, neuroscience, immunology etc. You can still specialise in genetics by doing biological sciences by opting genetics modules at second or third year of your biological science course I would try to get into a uni that offer placement.
