The following MCQ’s answer in ‘C’, which I don’t understand how. As those two atoms alone cannot create an covalent bond. There is a need of more atoms of the same element to make a covalent bond. Could you just explain how the answer is ‘C’. Thanks in advance.

If you check on the periodic table the two atoms are Silicon and Chlorine which forms the formula SiCl4. So 4 Chlorine atoms and 1 silicon atoms with 1 paired of shared electrons per chlorine atom with the silicon. If you try that it'll work and they'll each have a full octet.
