how to get over someone you can't be with

How to get over someone you can't be with (they're in a relationship) but who considers you a best friend? To make matters worse, we're flatmates, have got with eachother in the past but it didn't work out, and he constantly hangs out with me. I just want to be happy and move on but I can't get away from him either.

Accept that they have a partner and there's nothing you can do about it. You need to meet new people, surround yourself with new friends and you'll start to realise there's other guys out there.
Oh trust me... I know how much that sucks. The only way to move on is to
A) Find someone else
B) See him being completely in love with his gf
C) Tell him how you feel and get rejected

honestly only the last one really works but it causes a lot of heartbreak and you'll have to move out... Unless he dumps his girl for.you but is that likely?
