Senior doctors are calling for graphic images of injuries to be displayed on firework packaging.
Plastic surgeons say the number of life-changing injuries is rising every year despite numerous safety campaigns.
They believe shocking images, like the one they have mocked up using a man's severely damaged hand, might deter buyers.
Half of those seen in hospital last year were aged 18 or under, and 80% were male.

If people need a photo on a packet to tell them that an exploding object you light is dangerous then these people have major issues.

Seriously what is the point? Even a halfwit who has been lobotomized would know that fireworks are explosives and explosives are rather prone to injuring people if misused.

I wonder if the increase in firework injuries is related to a reduction in enforcement of the firework buying age limit by police and local trading standards officers.
