University of Derby Online - Distance - Msc in Psychology (conversion)

Hello,
I am working full-time in tech and considering different Msc's in Psychology (conversion), as I would like to transition careers in the long-run (that is still to be defined).
Is the Msc (part-time, distance) from University of Derby worthwhile, and possible to combine with a full-time job? Any tips and advice from current or past students will be good. Thanks!

Hi @agnes1084,

I've spoken with Sara Harker, the UDOL Admissions Adviser, and something we would suggest as being beneficial would be looking at the British Psychological Society (BPS) website. This provides more information on what qualifications and experience are needed in order to specialise within the various fields of Psychology. Generally speaking, most areas of Psychology require at least a Masters Degree, and will often require Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the BPS. Our MSc Psychology programme delivered via Online Learning, is both accredited through the BPS as well as providing students with the opportunity to gain GBC.

We recommend that our students study at our standard rate of study to begin with, which means studying around 20 hours per week during each trimester. This includes all reading and activities week-on-week as well as any preparation and completion of assessments. The vast majority of our online students are also in employment and the flexibility of being able to study around other commitments is what allows our students to succeed.

If you'd like to hear more from past students, there are some case studies featured on our website.

Hey Ryan,
Thanks very much for such thorough answer!
I will check the links provided. I actually had a look at continuing my application now, but the link didn't take me to the website I saw before... (something about "status" appeared). Either way, perhaps it's temporary.
Thanks again,
Agnès

Hi @agnes1084,

I hope you'll have resolved this by now, but if you do struggle to find the course page for MSc Psychology online, you can find it here.
