Hi everyone,

I have got a provisional offer from civil services last week and this is a apprenticeship. I was wondering as I have never worked in civil services before so have got no idea how long does it take? I have accepted the offer and done all paper work such as DBS, References.. HOW LONG DOES BASIC DBS CHECKS CAN TAKE?

Is anyone got any advice or anyone in the same situation?
much appreciated. Thanks

Yeah, just wait. There is literally nothing you can do to speed things up. Should take a few weeks for the pre-employment checks.

I've received a conditional job offer from the HMRC.
The form asks for "my employer referee" and permission to contact them. Should that be my current employer or could that be my previous employer (within three years)?
