Now half a term in, the academic year is in full swing, and I'm wondering, which A-Level are you finding the hardest so far this year?

For me, I always found Further Maths the hardest out of my 3 A-Levels (Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science)

So what about you? Also let me know the other A-Levels you're doing for comparison! :work:

Also, just remember, A-Levels are meant to be harder than GCSE's so if you're not doing as well as you'd hoped at the minute that's completely normal! Things get better with practice :woo:

I do maths further maths and economics

I find further maths the hardest but I perform better in it than economics

So I find economics easier, but I do worse in it than FM

Physics without doubt! Always super hard to wrap your head around new concepts! I'm doing Maths Physics and Biology
Just thought I'd ask, I followed your GYG last year and I've seen you're now doing CompSci and Maths! I've applied for straight CompSci, will I struggle without F Maths?

Yeah, I found computer science very tedious, especially when it came to programming. It was also a very weird classroom experience for me because I was naturally very good at it whereas most people really struggled with it, especially with programming which just came so natural to me. I was apparently the third person to get an A* on the course and the first in 5 years at my college. Being in the further maths class for most of my other lessons, I was usually with very good academic students.

I think it's just because a lot of the people who seemed to take it where the type that played a lot of video games and were 'baited' at open events by being told they would learn to build games and stuff, 2 years of VB.NET later, console based applications and no games other than a really *****y console version of scrabble .

I do Maths x2, Physics and a modern language.
I find FM the most difficult because it's so boring. :banghead:

I'm seeing a trend here with so many people finding Physics the hardest! I can understand why though, I struggled with my higher level Mechanics module and Physics is absolutely full of it!

And solark you really won't struggle without F Maths! There's a few students at my university doing CompSci without having done regular Maths A-Level and they're coping so don't worry about it!

The plan was to be an architect but I ended up a CompSci instead (largely because I continued to hate Physics throughout sixth form and discovered computers instead).

Life has a habit of working itself out in the long run!

PS. I do enjoy me some Richard Feynman though.
