Awkward Teacher Moments

I am sure we have all viewed a teacher in an awkward moment in front of a class. Share any moments you remember as particularly painful. :biggrin:

This isn’t a funny one, but the worst one I remember happened a good few years ago and about a year after a student had died :frown:

. A new teacher (who wouldn't have known) when questioned about why the classroom was so cold replied (as a joke) "It's because we keep the dead students in here".

Silence remained for the rest of the lesson.

Someone found my teacher on a porn site (as in, she was the porn actress/model) during a Business Studies lesson.

Found out one was gay after seeing him on a dating site.. I dont think he ever heard the last of that one...

Heh, I can't compete with the above, but we have some uber-scandals at my school too. I remember in one of my bio lessons someone cracked a joke about one of the guys playing with little children, and I (foolishly) compared that to one of the teachers, who had recently been involved in a scandal of such sorts. Some stupid, stupid girl who I will eternally hate for that decided to repeat what I'd said to everyone, including the teacher.

Needless to say, she was none too pleased with it. Argh, I can still feel the cringe of having to explain to a fuming and fairly intimidating teacher why I was making fun of a paedophile getting involved with pupils.

Yes our music teacher was sacked for looking at child porn on his laptop, when teaching. He used to be so funny if we stood behind him, behind the LAPTOP!!

My boyfriend and his friend were messing about in maths once and his friend went to hit him with a ruler- but missed, and hit their teacher on the bum :biggrin:

The teacher happened to be quite an old lady, and the school dragon. Not sure what happened after that.

My boyfriend also went in for a kiss with a teacher once (on the cheek), because he thought thats what she was doing as a congratulations on his results, but she was actually just leaning across- must have been embaressing :biggrin:

My college teachers also have myspaces and facebooks, which are always interesting to snoop on.

i found out a couple of weeks ago that one of my old history teachers is a bible basher - street caller thingy - ie walks round town on a weekend shouting about god.

theres been more but too llong to write out at this time of the night

My friend was asking me about a party I'd been at and just as I just as my teacher walked in I yelled: "I WAS FULLY CLOTHED THE WHOLE TIME!"

Awkward silence ensued followed by him going, "Anyway...."

I can't remember any particularly awkward moments. However, one English lesson our teacher turned up apparently drunk (it later transpired that he'd been taking medication). He could barely write and couldn't remember the lesson the next day.

One of the male trainee music teachers had an unfortunate incident with his (how should I phrase this?!?!?!)... gender-specific lower-body part ( :eek:

) in front of a class of 32 Year 7 girls. On two separate occasions, if stories are to be believed :biggrin:

One of my teachers was flmed (by her boyfriend or whatever he was) giving him a bl**job and he put it on facebook so everyone saw it. Then one day in class loads of the lads downloaded it to their phones and played it at the same time in her lesson and she ran out crying and then left the school a few weeks later.
Oh and anothr teacher of mine (he taught physics) ran off with a girl in my year, left his wife and kids for her and now they live in france together. Mind you he always was a bit creepy.
And one of maths teachers threatened to pour water on me because i didn't know the answer to a questio so told him to **** off basically, that was pretty awkward but he well deserved it.
There were some really weird teachers at my school! I dindn't realise it until i posted this.

Damn... That story is pretty harsh.

Maths classroom with no teacher in the room. Paper aeroplanes and screaming going around, general chaos going around. I decide to freeze the lot by quickly opening the door pretending that a teacher was storming in. Fling the door open with lightening speed, catch my statistics tutor peeping through the keyhole... That was pretty damn weird. He quickly walked away...

A student scored 3% on their maths test, this same teacher made a remark; Oh well, at least you're good for other things. The girl caught him with that comment but I don't think anything was done about it.

i've never persoanlly had awkward teacher moments, but one of my friends has experienced her maths teacher constantly farting and admitting to it...haha, right in front of her face...hahaha

Some friends and I were mucking about backstage at a drama rehearsal, and the teacher came back to tell us off, fell over a lighting rig and broke her leg.

One of my fellow actors kindly put his jacket over her as she lay swearing on the floor. It had a radio mic on it, and everything she said was broadcast to 50-odd 13 year olds :p:

my statistics lecturer would pass gas in class on a regular basis. and when he did he would try to talk louder to cover the sound of his farting. (unfortunately i sat on the front row, but fortunately it never smelled. or i would have never returned to class.)
