I had my first two lessons of Higher today and I was so surprised at how similar it is to Nat 5. Exactly the same components (spoken language assessment, x2 folios, RUAE paper, Critical Reading paper). The main differences are the difficulty jump in vocabulary, and RUAE is a longer paper.)

I even have the same teacher for Higher that I had for S3 and N5, which I am glad about as I'm used to her teaching methods and routines.

Yeh, I agree with you. We had the option to learn 6 new poems (which would be pointless) or develop our knowledge on the 6 poems that we completed for National 5; you can imagine which the class picked lol.

I got a teacher I had in 1st and 2nd year for my 5th year teacher. She is the head of department/best English teacher, and on the plus side, I'm good friends with her nephew, therefore we get along very well also.
