Yeah... it’s the Daily Mail...
Such a predictable and lazy response.

Yeah... it’s the Daily Mail...
And?

The only reason I know about the story was because of Majid Nawaz on LBC

That is cultural Marxism for you.

We need a armed revolution to overthrow the lefties in government.

I’m sorry, but an I not allowed to doubt the story because OP only linked the DM? Did it really solicit such an aggressive response?

Now I’ve read the other links, it seems like a ridiculous turn of events and, I agree, hate crime laws are flawed and ambiguous and need to be altered.

I was like "What the actual ****?" when reading the article, the woman did not horn at the driver simply cause he is black. Why do people still think there is a racism problem in Britain? Britain is literally one of the most tolerant countries in the world, sure there are some racists wondering around but certainly not enough to warrant investigations of hate crime for incidents like this.

Stupid. Prosecute her for wasting police time. Honking someone isn't even a crime, you're supposed to use it to let others know you're there and that's exactly what the victim here did (the victim here is the honker, in case anyone is still confused).

It has highlighted an easy fast track system in getting your crime investigated though. All you need to do is rely on your (probable) minority heritage and claim that's why you were the victim, be it theft, mugging, getting splashed by a car etc.

According to the radio earlier it didn’t have to be the person in the other car to make a complaint for the police to investigate

Well whoever it was needs to be prosecuted for wasting police time. If they did not witness it personally but were at the end of some Chinese whispers, then the police procedures need even more fixing.

I usually link sky news. You don’t seem to have an issue with that.

I stated my reason for linking the mail in my OP, I didn’t want a article behind a paywall.

Mr Stansfeld, whose area includes Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, said the elderly woman later wrote to him asking if he had recorded the case as a crime.

He added: "She asked us to remove it but the law is such that once it's on the books we cannot do so."
Is it recorded against her name, or just as a hate incident towards local crime stats?

I feel like they can be quite subjective too... which isn't very good

Jorden Peterson talked about this, how hate crime laws always end badly.
