Hi, I have got an interview for HCA in the Outpaitent department and I have to sit a maths and English test on the day of interview. Can someone help with what these are like? And if you don’t pass one of them do they rule you out? Thank you

Tests were really easy, basic reading, writing, listening and I had 3 basic maths questions to answer. I took my certificates with me but they didn’t need to see anything. It was really relaxed! Good luck!

One more question, when they say they want a reference that covers 3 years what does that mean. Am I supposed to ask someone (relevant person) to write me a reference or they just want a name/contact?

If you are successful then they will need 2 references, one being your current employer and second being a personal character reference. They will ask for details of these people and contact them direct
