Hello,
I was just wondering if any current earth science students at Manchester could give me an example of the type of optional modules that can be undertaken? I spoke the the admissions team and they just told me that the module list will be added by mid December; but by then my application will of already been sent off. I'm mainly interested in the Planetary Science/ Earth science side and was wondering what type of physics/astronomy modules are available?

Did you ever receive any information around this? I’m also interested in studying earth and planetary science next year and I’m really interested in the astronomy side of it.

No I never did, have you checked the module list on the website, it should’ve been updated now.

Thank you will check it now. Did you end up applying and what other universities did you apply for?

No, not in the end. I was always split between earth sciences and chemistry, but in the end I settled on chemistry. I’ve applied to Manchester, UCL, Southampton, Liverpool, and Birmingham.

Fair enough, good luck with your a-levels and university!
