City University for law

I was thinking of applying to City to do the Law Llb. I know it’s ranking isn’t the best and people here on tsr don’t talk great about it but I went to their open day and I had a great experience. I really don’t understand what all the negative talk is about.
It’s also one of the only universities that offers maritime law which I’m interested in
If you want to do maritime law, go to Southampton.

I would make sure it is something you're actually interested in pursuing, as it's a weird area and certainly not for everyone. Law and Sea is a good site, by some Greek LLM, and gives a good overview of bill of lading and charter-party contracts.

City is a good maritime school; was better when it had Dockray. It is generally average as a law school. Southampton is a more solid school and has all of the best maritime academics.
