My Syrian dad showed me these videos because he wanted me to see the Syria that he saw. I found them so heart breaking. I don’t know if this is in the right forum but I wanted to share them to show everyone else what it was like 🧡

Your welcome! It’s not ignorant of you lol, I think when we see the pictures now, we can’t even believe that it was once so full of life
Wow. A seemingly beautiful country turned into a mess.

I hate how Syria was decimated because of senseless war. No matter what anyone says, I think that everyone is at fault here. There’s no winners just losers. Really wish people kept their word and learnt from their previous actions.

So true. It’s such a shame that innocent people were at the receiving end
I’ve seen the school documentary, and remember wondering where these girls and boys are now. Truly so sad
Lost for words.

I know. In the last third video one of the girls says she wants to meet up with her friends in 10 years time in the same place :frown: and she said that in 2009

No, unfortunately not. Can read it but can't understand.
This is very interesting, thank you for sharing.

My home city Warsaw was once bombarded to the ground into rubble by nazis, people were kept in camps and treated like animals. Our people managed to rebuild the city and it is now so so beautiful! Especially Stare Miasto near the Stadium.

I hope you and your people find peace one day and get to build yout city

It's a bit like Nazi Germany. Not saying Syria was bad like nazi, but just in terms of reformation. Like Germany when Hitler came into power was thriving. It was a man's dream. Then he messed it up by starting a war and killing jews :/
