I visited on an Open Day and really liked the teachers but wanted to see what people really think.

I want to study English and Film Studies specifically! (And go on to further study hopefully)

Does the university have a reputation? (good or bad)

as a first year student, I think the Uni has a growing (positive) reputation. considering it's a relatively new uni(started in the 60s), I'd say it's done pretty well for itself

for me, i can honestly say I really like the uni. it's p close to the city (brighton), but at the same time, it has a pretty location & its a campus uni so there's more of a community vibe

It's not a redbrick uni or anything like that, but it's a respectable uni and it sure won't look bad on your cv to say you went to sussex

Hello, I am a current first year Sussex student on work experience at TSR, I would agree that Sussex has a growing reputation and is a great uni to study at! Both staff and students are very welcoming and the campus is safe and in a great location. I love that there is a mixture of country and city life, you get the best of both worlds! I'm studying English and I love the course so far, and the uni offers a lot of extracurricular opportunities.

I'm currently staying in the new east slope accommodation, and I would recommend the townhouses as they're probably the most social of the accommodations, with 12 people, as well as being the most spacious.

    Hope this helps!

you should probably bear something in mind with asking a question like this on a website like this; the "negative comments" about the uni will get deleted, it won't give you an accurate picture of the uni

I was thinking of applying to east slope, is it any good? Is it social?
