need help on question

I am doing GCSE geography and i need help on this question:
Explain how beach formation is influenced by different types of waves.

Can someone please help me.

Waves have a large influence on the formation of beaches. For example, constructive waves have a stronger swash and a weaker backwash, thus pushing sediment up the beach. Destructive waves have the opposite affect which could lead to offshore bars (as sediment is dragged back into the sea).
