Is NHS destined to fail? And what should I do about this problem? AMA Watch
Today I had to help a family friend, who couldn’t speak english, with her pains etc. called 111, took details ... the usual. Long waiting time too.
So I just searched up her symptoms, and it looks like I’ve found her problem, which then needs to be looked into further by her doctor obvs.
But the sad thing is this disease I guess is progressive, and even though she had seen her gp ages ago, he didn’t tell professionals about her problem, so it’s good that he got sent a letter criticizing about it. But apparently due to lack of funds, the NHS takes forever to diagnose a patient (one week blood test. If that doesn’t work another week something etc) whereas the internet provides the info in less than 10 mins.
So should I tell what I am sure is her problem to the Doctor when time comes? It’s sad to think that the NHS can’t function properly due to lack of funds which leads to inefficiency.
Sorry if my writing doesn’t make sense there are several topics here lol
Blood test results come in- told to see the doctor. Finally manage to get an appointment, told everything is fine.
Go in to see doctor for an issue a few weeks later and they bring up blood test results and say 'you're low in this... this... blah blah'?
That's one little scenario, loads where that came from.
-Probably best to bring that up with the doctor and say it could possibly be this, and this, you can check it out.
