No there shouldn't be an International Men's Day and there shouldn't be an International Women's Day either.

Fair point actually.

They do though, there are a number of articles about this. GQ posted one about how "men need more porn", just off the top of my head. That rag "Guardian" is probably has posted one too

Porn watching correlates with decreased testosterone levels.

Ancient men conquered cities and put them to fire, meanwhile our men are currently beating their meat to pixels on a screen.

Here's something that might interest you:

that picture you linked is extremely innaccurate, considering they still think that soy decreases testosterone levels i would not trust anything that source says

I have both anecdotal (1) and non-anecdotal evidence (2,3,4,5) that soy consumption is correlated with decreased testosterone levels.

(1) My male flatmate overdoses on soy, and he is very effeminate.

Exactly. That's why they don't need an international day, men have never been oppressed especially internationally. Women can't even go to school in some countries.

"men have never been oppressed" cuz slavery and forced conscription isn't/weren't a thing right? There is still modern day discrimination against men in the west, especially when it comes to custody battles, jail time (for equal crimes) etc... neither gender is without it's drawbacks...

I entirely agree. No one is privileged because they were born a certain gender. If that were true then @CoolCavy, why are men more likely to be homeless than women? And does a homeless man have more privilege than the average woman? After all, if he had power to exercise, he wouldn’t be homeless. Fun fact. It’s legal for women to commit rape in India and Israel
International women’s day is about the history of women standing up to gain their rights, whilst we have plenty of rights in the West now, we can’t discredit the actions that brought us here. It also highlights female oppression across the world where those in the West can consider those less fortunate in less progressive countries. International men’s day can be used for the issues of the present, where male suicide and mental health issues are so high yet not much has been done to improve this. Having one just because the other exists isn’t the point. It’s about considering the struggles of both parties

Probably should have specified.
The way I see it, Men's day isn't to celebrate cishet white able bodied middleclass/otherwise privileged men, it celebrates the existence of other men. Oppressed, ignored, ill etc. Men do deserve to be celebrated, just not those who have been in the light throughout history.

While we are at it, we should also have straight pride too.
