i got bad predicted grades as I messed up my year 12 exams. I'm considering going through adjustment but I really don't want an awful place to live. should I just apply next year.

is it really bad. anyone had a successful adjustment for uni.

Accommodation is one of the known downsides about adjustment. Some unis will guarantee student accommodation to those who get in by adjustment, but others don't. You should check out the accommodation policies at those unis in which you are interested.

You can always use adjustment but if the accommodation you get isn’t suitable then defer your place
