I believe full-time minimum wage work is like 14k a year
Teachers earn about 28k a year
Solicitors earn about 40k a year
Nurses earns about 31k a year
Retail cashiers earn about 15k a year

All this information was taken from google so may not be accurate.
just a few jobs to give you an idea of what most people are actually earning so you can come up with a realistic figure.

Edit: I believe people on JSA are on like 4-5k a year but have other benefits like housing benefits to cover some living costs.

My dad earns around 40k and is able to run a house, pay a mortgage, have 2 cars and still have leftover money for unexpected purchases so I'll say 40k seems pretty nice to live on.

40K in London and you should still be eligible for JSA
