yes. Do past papers, re-read the texts until you know them inside out, and be really comfortable in constructing an argument. Know the correct terminology to use when you are identify techniques the writer uses (irony, metaphor, first person narrator, simile, personification etc). Know how to plan and construct an essay under the clock. And make sure you know how to write grammatically correct, punctuated sentences.

Knowing the material thoroughly really helps with all of this. Constantly reading to improve your vocabulary also helps. Keep going! You're obviously motivated, and that's half the battle.
