We are seeking volunteers to participate in a psychology study related to factors that can influence weight loss. You are eligible to participate if you:

- Are aged over 18
- Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of between 25 and 40 (you can check this here https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy...mi-calculator/)
- Have no history of eating disorders
- Are not pregnant
- Have no food allergies
- Are not taking medication that may influence appetite
- Have no current indications of ill health

If you choose to take part, you will be weighed to confirm your self-reported BMI, and will then complete a short questionnaire related to your eating habits and foods consumed over the previous week. You will then complete two computer based tasks, which will require you to respond using the keyboard/mouse to various images/phrases. You will then participate in a taste test, followed by a short choice task. You will then be sent a link via email one week later, where you will complete a questionnaire and a short computer task (and be fully debriefed).

The in lab component of the study should take no more than 40 minutes and will take place at the University of Liverpool. The online follow up will take less than 5 minutes.

You will be provided with a £10 love to shop voucher as thanks for your participation (can be used at various retailers including Boots, New Look, Schuh, Topman and many more (see here for full list - https://www.highstreetvouchers.com/g...2shop-vouchers))

Please contact [email protected] to arrange participation.

Hi - sorry you haven't had a response to this yet. I'm just going to bump the thread in the hope that someone sees this and can help

Why do I do this?

The Universities forums get a lot of questions that are unanswered. This is often because the OP's thread got missed - bumping threads gives them another lease of life and frequently results in someone seeing it and being able to respond

If you would like to help with unanswered questions check out the first part of the list here and don't forget the second part of the list here.

Or if you have questions, get in touch with Puddles the Monkey.
