Tilted Cervix and Smear Test
So I had my smear test today (or rather, failed to have my smear test today...). It's not the first one I've had, but they've always been incredibly uncomfortable, and I think I've found out why...
The nurse who was doing it said that she has basically never seen a cervix that was so tilted (apparently to the left). She really tried, but said that she couldn't get a reliable sample as she couldn't see the cervix to do so. That was after trying a smaller speculum too
I've been booked in for another test for a different nurse to try on Friday, so hopefully that is more successful...
It might explain a lot of things though - sex has rarely been a pleasant experience for me, so I reckon it's due to my cervix being at a funny angle...
Anyone else have a similar problem/similar experience? How have you managed?
