Use of UNO 602 buses Hatfield Station- Hatfield Business Park-de Hav Students Read On

 Just to remind you all as many students I speak to are still unaware, but at certain times of the day you can use the 602 returning from Watford to Hatfield which calls in at Hatfield Rail Station as a public service bus to The Business Park, you need the Hearle Way stop which is directly after the bus turns off the roundabout from Mosquito Way into Gypsy Moth Avenue. This stop is across the road from the storage compounds at the side of the new Maclaren / Jaguar car showrooms and is the one after Trident Place and before the alighting-only stop outside the UNO bus garage.

From Hearle Way, The David Lloyd Club known to most of you, is only four-five mins walk, itself only a short walk from the student flats in Aviation Way and the North West corner of de Hav.

Mon- Sats.: the 602 can be caught from the Station to B. Pk at 21.37, 22.37 and 00.37. Sundays and Bank holidays it is mostly hourly until and including 20.34. The last one at 22.34 has just been cut (from April 21st 2019), this was the 19.10 from Hatfield Station out to Watford, 21.00 back. It can also be taken from the stop opposite the UNO garage or opposite Trident Place to the Station at 19.11, 21.11 Mon-Sats, mostly hourly Suns./B-hols.

This is very useful if no other buses around and you don`t mind a ten or so minute walk or don`t want to shell out on taxi fares.

And for rail travel:

www.16-25railcard.co.uk is the one most useful for students (Santander will give you one for free as long as you bank with them while a student.)

Other rail cards at www.railcard.co.uk/about-railcards

For finding cheap tickets go to www.trainsplit.com ( it is often cheaper to buy two or more tickets for a journey than one inclusive one.)

The Hatfield rail user group ( HART) can be found on www.hatfieldrail.com

Finally:
For those of you returning back late-ish at night there is also a 614 to Queensbury and return from the Rail Station at 22.41 Mon- Fridays only (stop 3, same as above), going like the daytime ones via the Business Park to de Hav (22.50) then on to the Forum ( 22.58)
This bus returns from Queensbury at 23.40, de Hav 00.30, arriving Hatfield Station 00.37.
