Hi, guys, anyone know any comparison points I could use for Simon Armitage: Chainsaw versus The Pampas Grass and Medusa By Carol Ann Duffy? Any points??
Thanks xx

- They're both first-person dramatic monologues
- they both explore issues of gender
- they both evoke sympathy/empathy for an unlikely character - Medusa herself in the Duffy poem, and the pampas grass in the Armitage poem
- they both have very dramatic endings.
