1k time for beginner

hi,
i have been running for just under a month, usually about 3-4 times a week running 3-5k. my 1k time is 5:24, is this an ok time (obviously i hope to improve it)
just want to add: i am an average weight , i eat pretty healthily if that helps at all

That's an average speed of 11.1 kmh which isn't bad at all. When I haven't been to the gym in months I can run 1k in just under 6 minutes, so it is not a bad result. Anyway, if you are running longer distances of up to 5km then you might be more suited to long distance races rather than 1km which is closer to a sprint.
