I need to report the descriptive statistics and inferential statistics of my data, but what are inferential statistics??

Inferential statistics use the data you have to draw inferences about the properties of larger population. Descriptive statistics only tell you about the data itself and doesn't necessarily translate beyond that. You might use a statistical test (e.g. t test, chi squared test, Mann-Whitney U test) in order to infer this information for example.
