I find that the question is a bit ambiguous as what “kind” of current do they want maximum current or current (r.m.s.) or the sinusoidal form?

Assume that they are asking for current (r.m.s.).
Find the impedance Z of the capacitor and resistor in series.
Then the current (r.m.s.) is the ac emf (r.m.s.) divided by the impedance Z.
